The mission of Pettigrew Regional Library system is:

To ensure that residents of our region have the right and means to free and open access to information, and

To defend the principles of  intellectual freedom, and

To enrich lives by encouraging and supporting lifelong learning, and by promoting literacy and cultural experiences, and

To provide library materials and information services to meet educational and recreational needs of the community, and

To deliver library materials and services to residents who are unable to visit the libraries, and

To cooperate with and support the efforts of library organizations and other agencies with compatible goals.
